art: “The Cheesecake Facilitator Observation”

The following art contains spoilers for episode 3.14 of The Big Bang Theory. I read the episode description and could not get this image out of my head.

I drew this pretty fast on half a sheet of 8.5″x11″ acid-free card stock. The speed in which I created this piece is probably most evident in the tray and plates of food. I applied the inks directly over the pencil lines

I’ve drawn Sheldon Cooper so much that I can sketch him out with very little reference. That was fun. I still have trouble getting Penny to look like herself. It is usually only after I’ve scanned the image and have been able to look at it for a few days that I can pinpoint what is wrong with it. In this case, it seems like I’ll need to tweak Penny’s top lip and move her eye to the right ever-so-slightly.
