I got tagged on facebook to do this meme a few weeks ago.

Rules: Once you’ve been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it’s because I want to know more about you.

1. Today, I am 26 yrs 2 mos 19 days old.

2. I won a coloring contest when I was 4. I remember it very well. I was in pre-school, and the teacher gave us all these coloring sheets with a Jack-O-Lantern on it. Then everyone started coloring. I went up to her and told her that she had forgotten to give me one, which was weird. She had one left, and she had already started coloring it, I guess to participate with us. She gave me hers, and she had already outlined the inside of the marker with an orange marker.

To this day, I think I was one of the few entries in my age group who actually colored inside the lines. Anyway, I won a $25 Eckerd Gift Certificate. :)

3. I think I’ve always had a crush on *someone* at any point in my life. Not so much right now. Well, I wouldn’t at all mind marrying someone who is the spitting image of Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

4. My favorite song ever is “Drive” by Incubus. My second favorite song constantly changes. Right now, I’d say it’s “Sunday Afternoon” by Rachael Yamagata.

5. I’m in the 28th month of my 24 month orthodontic treatment. Basically, I have braces, can’t wait to get them off. This is for y’all who haven’t seen me since high school.

6. This past November, I wrote a novel for National Novel Writer’s Month (NaNoWriMo). It was lots of fun, and hopefully, I can get the thing revised enough to publish it somewhere in some form, be it prose or graphic novel.

7. I am so broke. Like, seriously.

8. Over the last year, I became the biggest Stargate Atlantis fan. At least some good art came of it.

9. I write fan fic.

10. I lost about 30lbs over the last year and a half. Feels pretty awesome. I don’t really have some magic secret. I just ate less. The braces helped, I think. *shrug*

11. I recently went shopping for a dress to wear to a formal occasion, and discovered that I could wear a size 6. :)

12. I’m a really bad student, meaning, I’m not really studious, but I retain information pretty well. Once I get out of the classroom, though, work tends to not get done til the last minute. I blame it on my artist’s temperament.

13. I really like to critique things. :)

14. Oftentimes, I lack much confidence about my artistic talent, and need constant reassurance that I actually know what I’m doing.

15. I don’t do art nearly as much as I should.

16. I’d really like to attend a comic con this year.

17. I’ll always look up to my big sis Crystal. I think it’s ingrained in my DNA at this point.

18. I’m attempting to learn Chinese. I took it one semester in 6th grade at Phillips. I liked it a lot (thanks, Mrs. Yu).

19. I’ve learned that people’s interactions with each other don’t change much after high school. Actually, now I realized that people treated each other the best (relatively) in elementary school.

20. Whenever I travel, I can’t go to sleep, even on the ride there. I feel compelled to stay awake during the whole ride because I fear I’ll miss something if I do. Also, I always end up as the designated photographer. Even if other people have cameras I’m the only one that takes pictures.

21. I’m growing my hair out natural right now, since October last year. This is a particularly impressive undertaking, because I’m like, super-tenderheaded. It hurts when I comb my hair. You can imagine what’s it’s like for me to get braids put in.

22. I LOVE receiving comments on my art/photos/fanfic/blog posts. Like, seriously.

23. I’m horrible at selling myself as an artist.

24. In high school, most people knew me as either a brain or the artist. Not many people knew I could do both.

25. I think get a kick out of a guy trying to impress me with his artistic skill or whatever, because he finds out I like art/can draw, but he hasn’t really seen any of my work. And then, he finds out I can draw better than him. :D *shrug* It’s the little things in life. . .
